It's hard to think about anything else as my book is coming out in March of 2008. Who would have guessed that with the end of one dream (sailing around the world) would come the success of a different dream. REFRACTION a novel by Jan Dynes www.jandynes.com www.1bookpublishers.com

Well the weekend went differently then planned....

This weekend was supposed to be the weekend that all the Cox clan were coming to meet Karen, Ken's fathers wife-to-be. Plus her sons were coming too and everyone would have met everyone. However sadly on Friday the lovely Karen took a nasty fall that had her in the emergency room. Dad and I and her son Eric all went to the hospital frightened that her hip might be broken, but fortunately she was just badly bruised and they let her go home with Dad who promised to baby her all weekend. Still, the Saturday family get together had to be postponed until a later date.

Fortunately Nikki (Ken's 24 year old daughter) still came to stay on Friday evening and we had a nice dinner and went to the movies and then we all had a very nice visit on Saturday, poking in Down-town Greenville, the Botanical Gardens and bowling, which was lots of fun.

And later Saturday evening; Lisa, Ken's sister and her two daughters Brea and Remy came over for dinner after a game they played near us, so we had a nice family day after all. It's really fun to have a house full of girls. Nikki and Brea 15, and Remy 13, are all delightful and I really enjoy Ken's sister Lisa too. I wish they lived closer so we could see more of them.

Then on Sunday the Irish Festival was at the Reedy River Falls Park; so Ken and I went down and listened to music and watched the Pipe and Drum brigade and all the different Irish Dancers. It was a gorgeous day to be outdoors and enjoy all the festivities.
