Puppy, Labor Day, House-plans, web-sites, etc.... 9/5

Well our grand puppy has doubled in size at 11 days old. He looks more Lab then Schipperke. That might be why Taz only had room inside for an only puppy. He’s very cute and a calm little guy and he is happy being handled by both of us, although he needs to nurse pretty much non-stop and his poor Mother looks a bit put out, just being used as a milk-machine. She really misses going everywhere in the car with us. But we take her on a good long walk every evening, so she doesn’t get cabin fever.
The weather is getting very mild, it was only 68 today. But Labor Day was hot. We had a family get together at Ken’s Dads house. Two sisters and one of Ken’s brothers came and every ones kids, spouses, etc and one sister even has a grand child, so there was a 7 month old to entertain us all. They surprised us with a Wedding celebration cake too, which was very nice. Ken has a very nice family and it was a very laid back day, full of good food and conversation. Above is Ken with his 24 year old daughter Nikki.
We have settled on a house plan and will be start building it as soon as Ken’s house sells. We are living together in mine now, as he has been in his 9 years, and his has all the equity and I’m just at 6 months in mine, and have practically none. I am making some changes to this plan that will change the front of the house considerably. It will put two turrets on the front at the dining area and the front master bath, which will move to the front and put the 2 master closets and a hall in between the bedroom and the bath, and make the master bath much cooler. But this gives you an idea.
We are getting very excited as our date to leave for Santorini draws near, we leave Sept. 21. We are part of the time in a beach house and part of the time in a house overlooking the Caldera. They both look gorgeous in the pictures. Of course we could arrive and need our sense of humor!
For those of you who want to see the business web-site I just constructed for Ken’s Business. Click on the link and take a peek. I’m really proud of it. http://www.usedmanforklifts.com/ Note the animation everytime the page changes! & Click on the recipes at the bottom of the right side and then scroll down the Just for Fun page…. to laugh at me! As you’ll see I got pretty silly. But my hope was for something different and cartoon like to set us apart from other Forklift websites which tend to be pretty dry and boring. Let me know what you think.
Hugs to all.
