A glorious long weekend in Charleston...

What a lovely Southern experience. Charleston just oozes charm and history and Southern Style. It is a gorgeous waterfront town with great art galleries and resturants and wonderful little places playing music. The weather was perfect and the beach packed with happy frolicking families. It couldn't have been nicer. We stayed at a neat little condo in an antebellum home right in the center of everything and walked everywhere all weekend. It was truly perfect. I am becoming quite the fan of Southern Charm. I even ate shrimp and grits! Which sounds disgusting but was actually good. I also experienced fried green tomatoes and crawfish ettoufe'. It just doesn't get any more deep-south then that! We walked rainbow row, the docks and went into every art gallery. The horse drawn carriages were everywhere full of happy people and hand holding couples, of which we were happily a part of. It was a weekend of absolute perfection, unhurried and unstructured and the most fun I've had in a long time. God is so very good to me!
Now for the big news, Ken and I proposed pretty much simultaniously to each other at the end of the pier at sunset with an audience of dolphins making dolphin noises, he asked me to marry him in Ireland at Christmas, and I said I would marry him anywhere!
