A glorious long weekend in Charleston...

What a lovely Southern experience. Charleston just oozes charm and history and Southern Style. It is a gorgeous waterfront town with great art galleries and resturants and wonderful little places playing music. The weather was perfect and the beach packed with happy frolicking families. It couldn't have been nicer. We stayed at a neat little condo in an antebellum home right in the center of everything and walked everywhere all weekend. It was truly perfect. I am becoming quite the fan of Southern Charm. I even ate shrimp and grits! Which sounds disgusting but was actually good. I also experienced fried green tomatoes and crawfish ettoufe'. It just doesn't get any more deep-south then that! We walked rainbow row, the docks and went into every art gallery. The horse drawn carriages were everywhere full of happy people and hand holding couples, of which we were happily a part of. It was a weekend of absolute perfection, unhurried and unstructured and the most fun I've had in a long time. God is so very good to me!

Now for the big news, Ken and I proposed pretty much simultaniously to each other at the end of the pier at sunset with an audience of dolphins making dolphin noises, he asked me to marry him in Ireland at Christmas, and I said I would marry him anywhere!

A Red Letter Day! Bye, Bye ADASTRA !!! Happy we met, Happy to see you go!

Well the boat closed and transferred hands on Friday! The new owners are thrilled with Adastra and I am pleased to have cash flow again. I had a wonderful weekend. I went to Asheville, NC, on Friday and 2 Clemson, Tigers baseball games on Friday eve and Saturday day. They won against ORU both games and now go on to the Finals. Going to the games makes me feel more involved in my new community and the University in my back yard.
Sunday was spent at Whitewater falls and hiking around it. All these events were enjoyed with my new special friend Ken. We are spending most of our off time together and it is easy and full of fun. We are enjoying the getting to know each other time. And for all of you who know and love me, don't worry, he's a real sweetheart with no hidden agendas. I am feeling pretty blessed and happy to have met him. So just be happy for me and try not to admonish me too much. Everything about us is just so easy and right! I know that we are moving fast, but we each knew we were right for each other at first sight. New love is wonderful and makes me feel sixteen again.....

Waterfall wonderland...

Of course one can't speak of South Carolina without mentioning all the beautiful waterfalls, trees and flowers.... It is truly a visual feast for all poetic souls.... Most weekends find me in search of new waterfalls.... Let me share a few with you.

Oops I forgot the master Bed room pics...

I love my bedroom, I have satisfied my pillow and stuffed animal fetishes.... And am surrounded by pictures of the kids...

I've completed my waterfall and entry mural...and I've met someone special!

I'm settling in more and more everyday. I have completed the back yard landscaping by day and painted the mural into the nights, so it's beginning to feel more like home. The living room, bonus room, office, dining and master bedroom are all furnished now, although the three extra bedrooms still remain empty. But it's only been 3 months and I'm getting there. The boat is supposed to close by Wednesday, so that Chapter will be closing. I'm working hard and playing hard too. I'm still in love with the area. And not feeling so much like a stranger anymore. The new book is progressing and I am happy. There is a new guy on the scene, his name is Ken and we are enjoying getting to know each other. The picture is of him at his house.
